It needs to be lightweight, cheap easy to cut and work with.
Also I will be either glueing or screwing on aluminum and or plastic for advertising purposes.

You can get foam core tagboard from Wal-Mart or any similar store…basically two pieces of thin cardboard with 3/16″ or so foam in between. Very easy to cut with a modeling knife or utility knife or even scissors, comes in all colors, but tends to warp. You could screw things into it or glue onto it.

Option two is plywood. For about 10 bucks or so, you can get a 4′ x 8′ sheet of plywood. Harder to work with but sturdier no doubt.

Option three is to actually buy a presentation board. I think Office Max might have them – they’re pre-cut tri-fold presentation boards that fold into a nice little package with a handle.

It’s up to you to do some shopping, I guess. Foam board is by far the easiest to work with.
